In our interactions with others, our attitudes and demeanor can greatly impact the way we are received. If we approach others with aggression, excitement, or shortness, it’s likely that these attitudes will be reflected back to us. However, every once in a while, we may encounter someone who doesn’t respond in kind. Instead, they may become more closed off and try to assess what they may have done wrong in comparison to previous interactions.
As Christians, it’s important to remember the power of love and kindness in our interactions with others. In Colossians 4:6, the Bible reminds us to, “Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.” By approaching others with grace and love, we can create positive, uplifting interactions that glorify God and demonstrate the love of Jesus to those around us.
Let’s reflect on the power of our words and attitudes in our relationships with others, and strive to approach others with the love and grace of Jesus.
