All-New Amazon Kindle Whitepaper 2018

If you are an avid book reader and maybe like to binge on eBooks or even complete series on Audible, I’ve got an awesome review for you!

The new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite is an great way to read eBooks and listen to Audiobooks that’s available on Audible. It features a touch, 6 inch, “glare-free” screen that isn’t really glare-free but instead, glossy. It is IPX waterproof for up to 2m or 60 minutes in water. So if you’re camping and you happened to drop your Kindle in a puddle, it won’t be ruined. It has a 1500mah battery, which the company claims will last for weeks. Even with the five LED backlight for reading in the dark. You receive a standard USB 2.0 cable for charging. It also has two storage options both 8gb or 32gb. And, two options for connectivity; just WiFi or WiFi and Free 4G connection, which Amazon actually pays for. The new Kindle only weighs 6.8lbs. It is very light and weighs only as much as both the Kindle Oasis WiFi and 4G models. And it doesn’t require a mobile phone or computer to purchase and download content.

The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite has font customization that allows you to change the size, boldness, and select a custom font. So whither you are nearsighted or farsighted, you can adjust the text to read it comfortably. If you get tired of reading your favorite novel, you can always switch between reading and listening by the Whispersync feature. Even though I’ve played around with it, I read certain eBooks and listen to certain ones, but not both.

Here’s a video review by Tech Spurt for more in-depth information.

As with any Amazon Kindle item that is eligible for a discount, you can either opt for ads which allows you to receive said discount or pay a little bit higher price for ad-free. As many ads as I receive that slip through ABP on Chrome, I wanted to limit myself to receiving ads while I’m trying to read so, no ads for me!
