JTTS – Finding Rest in God’s Promises

Listen to this article

As we continue our journey through God’s Word, let us pause to reflect on the story of Noah and the flood. In the midst of a world consumed by wickedness, Noah found favor with God because of his righteousness and faithful obedience. God instructed Noah to build an ark, a vessel that would preserve him, his family, and a remnant of creation from the impending judgment of the flood.

The story of Noah reminds us of God’s faithfulness and provision in times of trial. Just as God provided a way for Noah to build an ark for him and his loved ones, He continues to provide for us today. In the midst of life’s storms and challenges, we can find rest in the assurance that God is with us. He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and His promises are sure.

Trust in God’s promises and find rest in His care. His Word is filled with promises of love, protection, and provision for His children. Psalm 91:1 (KJV) declares, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Take comfort in knowing that you can find refuge and rest in the arms of your Heavenly Father.

In times of uncertainty, remember the faithfulness of God. He guided Noah through the storm and brought him safely to dry land. He will do the same for you. Trust in His promises, lean on His everlasting arms, and find rest in His unfailing love.

Take a moment to reflect on God’s faithfulness in your life. Reflect on His promises and find solace in the knowledge that He is always with you. As you navigate the challenges of life, remember that you are not alone. God’s promises are your anchor and refuge. Find rest in Him today.
